Ph.D. in Plant Pathology and Molecular Biology from Auburn University, Alabama (U.S.A.), and has worked as Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology and Genomics at Colorado State University, Colorado (U.S.A.), director of a Plant Biotechnology Program at the University of Kentucky, Kentucky (U.S.A.), and a visiting scholar in the Netherlands. He is currently Associate Professor at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute and at Virginia Tech’s Department of Biological Sciences (U.S.A).
His research is focused upon bioinformatics, functional genomics, and immunology of fungal-host interactions with a particular emphasis on allergic airway disorders caused by Alternaria.
Over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and several book chapters. He is an inventor on several issued patents related to biotechnology and biomedicine.
